Capcom Reveals When Its Next Game Showcase Event Is

Capcom is gearing up for its own digital gaming showcase event.

The popular Japan-based game developer recently revealed the date of its Capcom Showcase digital event, wherein Capcom will uncover more about the projects it is currently working on and will be working on to the public.

Capcom's gaming showcase event is free to watch online, though the game developer has yet to reveal how to do so.

Capcom Showcase Schedule Details

Capcom USA revealed in a recent tweet that it will hold its annual digital gaming showcase event, Capcom Showcase, on June 12 at 3 PM PDT. The event will feature roughly 36 minutes of news and updates on its latest games, which may include games it launched, such as Resident Evil 4 Remake and Street Fighter 6.

Capcom mentioned on the digital event's official website that some of the games it is discussing during the event aren't suitable for children. While it does mean that Capcom will reveal something not for children, it is unclear if the company plans to show something horror- or gore-related.

Unfortunately, Capcom didn't share much information other than what it did, but it promised it would reveal more information as June 12 gets closer.

"We hope you'll join us for this special digital event to celebrate Capcom's 40th anniversary!" the game developer added.

Following the cancellation and downfall of the most popular gaming convention, E3, many companies resorted to hosting their own gaming showcase events online to fill the gap in the market. Sony has its State of Play and PlayStation Showcase, Microsoft has its Xbox Games Showcase, and Capcom has its Capcom Showcase event.

While the event is largely connected to many gaming events before, such as E3 and Tokyo Game Show (TGS), it since became an independent event of its own right in 2022, when the company utilized it to reveal information about games like Capcom Fighting Collection, Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, Resident Evil Re: Verse, Exoprimal, Pragmata, and Resident Evil Village VR.

Capcom's game showcase was included in E3 2021, which revealed information about The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Monster Hunter Rise, and Resident Evil Village.

What Games Will Capcom Feature?

Capcom has yet to announce which games it will showcase in its upcoming digital event. However, past events like PlayStation Showcase 2023 and news could provide hints as to what the company will cover.

For instance, Capcom revealed a gameplay trailer for the second Dragon's Dogma game during PlayStation Showcase 2023; the game developer is almost certain to include that game in its showcase.

Aside from that, Capcom might reveal post-launch content for Street Fighter 6, which it released on June 2 to critical acclaim, per Game Rant.

Gamers might get more information about Pragmata, a science fiction game originally announced in 2020 at a PlayStation event.

Capcom might also include Resident Evil 4 in the showcase since its Mercenaries Mode still lacks fan-favorite characters Ada Wong and Albert Wesker; the original game has both characters playable in the mode from the start.
