How to Easily Defeat the Twins in Far Cry New Dawn

Mickey and Lou or as they are mainly referred to in the game as "The Twins," are one of the two final boss fights you'll face in Far Cry New Dawn. Other than the fact that they are hard to beat, the twins each have a flamethrower and sniper that depletes your health points quickly. Here's how you can prepare yourself for the fight.

1. Upgrade Your Health

Just know that even if you have already defeated one of the twins, dying will respawn you right at the beginning when both are alive again. With that being said, the first thing you should upgrade is the infirmary to make sure that you have more health points to spare. The max is at level three, which grants you 250% health points. Make sure to recruit the specialist Selene first.

2. Unlock Wrath in Perks

Once you've finished the story mission titled "Joseph's Secret," you'll be able to unlock a set of perks that enhances your strength and abilities. One of them called Wrath will be tremendously helpful when it comes to inflicting damage to the twins.

When Wrath is active, the damage you take is significantly reduced while the enemy takes in more. While it's active, approach one of the twins and just keep punching them until the gift's meter runs out. That takes away almost half of their health immediately.

3. Recruit Horatio

There are a lot of Guns for Hire in the roster that you can assign to your aid, but Horatio is probably the best option. Before you head to the fight with the twins, make sure that Horatio has had more than 40 kills to unlock his third skill.

After 15 kills, he will be able to revive himself. So while you're busy with one twin, Horatio will distract and fight the other. He also has shield break, which you'll be glad he has because the twins have armor that reduces damage from bullets.

4. Get Higher Ranking Weapons

While you'll be better off using Elite weapons, you can actually get through the mission with just Rank 3 weapons. Of course, it'll be a little more difficult. Your best bet is the "Blunderbuss" MG42. It's a light machine gun in the Elite section.

You will also need to upgrade the Explosive Lab to at least level one in order to unlock the armor-piercing ammo. As mentioned before, the twins will be wearing pretty heavy armor, and the special ammo will help break them so you can pepper both with your light machine gun.

5. Upgrade Your Training Camp

The Guns for Hire in your roster have a certain rank depending on the level of your training camp. Upgrade it to at least Rank 3 so your Horatio or your chosen Gun for Hire will last longer and inflict more damage.

In the case of Horatio, you won't really need higher health since technically, he never dies once you've unlocked the third level of his skills. Although, it would higher damage would mean that he will do a better job of taking a chunk out of the twins' health points.
