When Barbie is away, Ken will come out and play.
Airbnb recently announced it is making its all-pink Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse rentable again to two lucky guests in celebration of the highly anticipated release of the "Barbie" movie on July 21.
However, there is a unique twist to this version of Barbie's Malibu Dreamhouse.
Airbnb Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse Details
Airbnb mentioned in its announcement that Barbie's Malibu Dreamhouse is back by popular demand with a twist - it's Ken's turn to take hosting for a spin now that Barbie's away for her first live-action film.
According to the hosting platform, the Malibu Dreamhouse was renovated since the last time it was listed on Airbnb in Oct. 2019; it now comes with everything Ken loves, like rollerblading, though Barbie's signature pink remains, per Business Insider.
Located in Malibu, Barbie's Dreamhouse is an oceanfront property featuring panoramic views and serves as "the perfect backdrop for Ken's picture-plastic paradise." Fans can take a spin through Ken's exceptional wardrobe (it has cowboy jackets and printed shirts!) and even learn a line dance or two on his outdoor disco dance floor or a sunset serenade on Ken's guitar.
Meanwhile, guests can look forward to the dreamhouse's one all-pink bedroom that features a round double bed with decorative pillows and blankets featuring horse motifs, with cowboy hats hanging above the headboard to complete the "Wild West" feel. Its closet contains a life-sized horse display right next to a full-length mirror and a vanity table guests can use during their stay.

Guests will be greeted by a concierge when they arrive, who will show them around and arrange their meals. There's no kitchen in the Dreamhouse, so it's important to check in with the concierge about any meals for the day.
Interestingly, the venue has an outdoor grill, though it's unsure if guests can use this to cook meals. That aside, they can also challenge each other to a "beach off" where they can determine who does beach activities best using the infinity pool.
If pumping iron is something you desire, then Ken has got you covered. The Dreamhouse also comes with a mini fitness studio with different weight sets for guests to use during their stay. Most notably, Ken is allowing guests to take home their very own set of yellow-and-pink impala skates and surfboards after their stay as souvenirs.
How To Book Barbie's Malibu Dreamhouse
Up to two guests can request to book Ken's room in the Malibu Dreamhouse for two individual one-night stays on July 21 and 22, the live-action movie's opening day, and the day after that, free of charge because "Ken's thing is beach, not math!" Airbnb said in its announcement.
People interested in booking Ken's room can do so starting July 17 at 10 AM PT at Airbnb's official Ken Dreamhouse webpage. However, they should keep in mind they're responsible for their own transportation to and from Malibu if they're out of state.
