Verizon now offering HTC One Max online and in stores

Verizon is now offering the 5.9-inch HTC One Max online and in stores for $299.99 when signing a new 2-year contract or $25.22 on the Verizon EDGE plan.

Big Red customers are going to have two very impressive phablets to choose from, now that the carrier has added the HTC One Max just in time for the holidays. Verizon has already been offering the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to its customers and now the launch of the HTC One Max will give consumers another choice when it comes to Android phablet options from the carrier.

The HTC One Max follows in the footsteps of its smaller sibling, the HTC One, but also has a few tricks of its own up its sleeve. The phablet uses the same sleek and premium anodized aluminum unibody case that made the HTC One a hit. On the rear of the smartphone you'll find the company's UltraPixel camera, which has been designed to allow more light into photos, making them clear and vibrant in low-light settings. The HTC One Max also uses the same high-quality dual-front facing stereo speakers with HTC BoomSound, which is another welcomed feature borrowed from the HTC One.

HTC ships the One Max with the latest version of its UI, HTC Sense 5.5. The software debuted on the HTC One and the latest version makes it easier to stay up to date with your favorite news sites, social networks, and more, as they're automatically updated on the HTC One Max's home screen. The company also added something not found in the HTC One, but that is a major feature in Apple's current flagship iPhone 5S. The HTC One Max has a fingerprint scanner below the UltraPixel camera, which allows you to unlock the smartphone with a swipe of your finger and also serves double-duty by allowing you to launch up to three different apps by assigning a finger to the app.

The Verizon HTC One Max features a gorgeous 5.9-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD display that allows for more viewing angles and the use of optical lamination makes the display easier to read when outdoors. The phablet runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and HTC's proprietary Android UI, HTC Sense 5.5. The handset provides a very fluid user experience through the use of a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM. When it comes to storage, HTC ships the smartphone with 32GB of internal storage, a microSD expansion slot, and 50GB of Google Drive storage.

As mentioned earlier, the HTC One max has an UltraPixel camera and fingerprint scanner on the rear case and a 2-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. Its wireless capabilities include a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. It's packing a 3300 mAh non-removable battery, which Verizon claims offers up to 25.5 hours of normal use and up to 17 days of standby time.

You can order the Verizon HTC One max from Verizon's online store or in retail stores for $299.99 when signing a new 2-year contract or get it through Verizon's EDGE plan and pay $25.22 per month.
