WhatsApp for iOS devices just got a bit better to use.
The company behind the popular secure messaging app recently announced it is rolling out a redesigned sticker and GIF picker for its iOS app.
The new feature is the latest WhatsApp released in its long line-up of new features it is developing.
WhatsApp Redesigned Sticker & GIF Picker Details
WhatsApp's beta testers may be swamped with new features to test, but they know when a feature is ready for release. According to a recent WABetaInfo report, WhatsApp is rolling out its redesigned sticker and GIF picker for its iOS app, allowing the public to enjoy a better version of the app's sticker and GIF picker.
WhatsApp's official changelog for its 23.13.78 update mentions that an updated sticker tray with a larger set of Avatar stickers and improved navigation is now available. While the changelog's entry about the new feature was vague, WABetaInfo mentioned that WhatsApp added the ability to scroll the picker upwards, allowing users to access a larger grid of items conveniently.
It also mentioned that WhatsApp relocated the buttons for accessing the GIF sticker and avatar sections and redesigned them as tabs, allowing for clear navigation. The company also redesigned its search and avatar configuration buttons to search GIFs and stickers more easily and improved the categorization of avatar packs while offering users a larger set of avatar stickers.

The feature was first tested by beta testers on June 9, when WhatsApp released the feature through its 23.12.0 TestFlight build for iOS devices. From what the changelog described, not much changed from the Testflight build beta testers tried to the one WhatsApp is releasing.
Regardless, the feature will be beneficial to users as they often experience issues viewing the complete list of all stickers available in a particular pack. They will have an easier time looking up a sticker or GIF they want to react with.
While WhatsApp has released its redesigned sticker and GIF picker, some might have yet to receive it. Those who don't may have to check regularly and wait over the coming weeks to install the update and receive the feature on their phone.
WhatsApp's Other Upcoming Features
With the redesigned sticker and GIF picker officially released, WhatsApp users can now look forward to other features the company is working on. For example, the Meta-owned company is working on adding the ability to upload and download high-quality videos through the app (with minimal compression) and pin and unpin a message automatically after a set period has passed.
It is also having its Advanced Proxy Configuration Settings tested by beta testers to improve the app's proxy server toggle, along with in-app chat support for its Windows Desktop app, allowing users to reach WhatsApp support directly when issues with the Desktop app occur.
Last but not least, WhatsApp is also allowing beta testers to try its new icons for communities and their linked groups through the Google Play Beta Program.
