Get ready to break or use curses in Fortnite.
Epic Games recently announced it is adding a new anime crossover with "Jujutsu Kaisen," giving players the chance to learn and use cursed techniques and play as their favorite characters from the hit anime.
Epic Games' Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen crossover will last from Aug. 8 to Aug. 25 only.
To Break or Not To Break (The Curse)
Epic Games revealed in its announcement that its Jujutsu Kaisen crossover comes with a respectable amount of fan service for fans of the anime series to love.
Firstly, the popular game developer and publisher stated that the world of Jujutsu Kaisen has taken over Battle Royale Island. With this takeover comes cursed llamas that players must destroy to learn cursed techniques, which not only give supernatural abilities, but complete requirements for their themed quests too.
Destroying cursed llamas allow players to learn one of two cursed techniques: Straw Doll Technique and Hollow Technique: Purple.

The Straw Doll Technique allows players to use a swift hammer combo that launches nails filled with cursed energy, damaging opponents across distances. Meanwhile, the Hollow Technique: Purple is a secret combination of cursed techniques that demolishes buildings in its path and deals damage over time to enemies caught within it.

Using these techniques can help players complete Break the Curse! Quests that earn them Cursed Energy. The more Cursed Energy players earn, the more in-game rewards they can unlock.
Unlockable Goodies
The Break the Curse! Quest acts much like a battle pass - it comes with a free and premium reward track, with the latter being unlockable for 1,000 V-Bucks. The free track has 11 unlockable awards, including the Shadow Play: Toad Emote.
The premium reward track, meanwhile, gives players the chance to unlock the Yuji Itadori Outfit, featuring Yuji's Jujutsu High uniform. Players who purchase the premium reward track will automatically receive the Streetwear Yuji Itadori Outfit.

Speaking of outfits, Yuji Itadori's peers - and teacher - join him in Fortnite as outfits for players to buy in the Item Shop Store. As such, the Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo skins will be available for purchase until Aug. 25.
Much like in other events, The Break the Curse! Quests come in phases, or "grades," as Epic Games puts it. For the Break the Curse! Quests, Epic Games broke it into four, with Grade Four Quests being available now.
Grade 3 and grade 2 quests go live on Aug. 10 and 5 at 9 AM ET, respectively. Grade 1 Quests and Special grade quests go live on Aug. 17 at 9 AM ET.
All Grades will be available until Aug. 25 at 2 AM ET. Players that complete a certain number of Quests in a Grade, will receive the token for that grade. Those that unlock all five get the Nue Glider as a reward.
