Bandai Namco Unveils Tekken 8 Release Date in 2024, Introduces New Single-Player Mode

After months of waiting, Bandai Namco officially announced that Tekken 8 will arrive on January 26, 2024.

Tekken 8 Release Date, New Features

During the Games com 2023, Bandai Namco took the opportunity to make its final reveal for the upcoming Tekken game. Tekken 8 is set to hit PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. While the big release is still months from now, the game already available for pre-order on Tekken's website. 

In addition, a new single-player mode called Arcade Quest was also introduced by Bandai Namco. Based on the latest trailer, Arcade Quest allows players to create a character that is also able to compete using a virtual arcade and play Tekken tournaments. If you are a long-time Tekken fan, you might be familiar with the IRL experience of playing the game in an arcade. However, this time, it will be done virtually by your character. 

Aside from that, Tekken 8  will be adding an aggressive gameplay mechanic called Heat System. The new system will allow the players to utilize aggressiveness as their weapon and adopt new offensive tactics. The characters will also be given special movements that can enhance their abilities.

Tekken 8 Official Roster 

Tekken 8 will feature 32 unique fighters that has been revealed one by one by Bandai Namco. Aside from some returning and beloved fighters, Tekken 8 will also mark the comeback of Jin's mother, Jun Kazama, who was previously thought to be dead. 

The new Tekken installment will highlight the showdown between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama.
