New JBL Authentics Speakers Feature Simultaneous Access to Alexa, Google Assistant

JBL launched its newest Authentics speakers that are capable of simultaneous usage of Alexa and Google Assistant.

Harman Announced JBL Authentics Speakers 

In collaboration with Amazon and Google, Harman built a multi-assistant feature which will be available for JBL Authentics 200, 300, and 500 speakers. The companies acknowledged the demand on various assistants, however, each person have different preferences. Hence, Amazon and Google aimed to provide the convenience and freedom for their customers under JBL speakers. 

"Customers win when they have choices, whether it's the ability to choose which smart home device to bring into their homes," VP of Alexa Aaron Rubenson explained

All models will offer Bluetooth pairing, built-in streaming for playlists and phone calls, and JBL One app compatibility for customization. The Authentics 300 featured a wireless design with up to eight hours of playtime with 4800 mAH battery while the Authentics 200 and 500 are on 50 t o60 Hz, 100 to 240V AC connection. 

How to Setup Alexa and Google Assistant on JBL Authentics 

To fully enjoy the experience, download the JBL One app to enable the voice assistants. A simple "Alexa" or "Hey Google" voice command will give you the access to your Amazon and Google Services. 

 "To realize this vision, we're working to make voice ubiquitous for customers across a range of products, including third-party devices that support multiple assistants. We see infinite possibilities for assistants to enhance customers' lives, regardless of which assistant they choose to use," Rubenson shared. 

The new JBL Authentics speakers will be available in September 15 for Europe and September 17 in North America. The price is reportedly to start at $300 up to $700.
