Disney’s Upcoming Blu-Ray Animated Film Collection Features 100 Titles

Disney has provided us with a lot of memories over the years as it produced movies that fueled our imagination. It has been over eight decades since the entertainment giant released its first animated film. With Disney's upcoming collection, buyers will get titles that were released between 1937 to 2023.

Disney Legacy Animated Film Collection

The box set will come with three volumes with each holding sets of their own. Opening them will reveal pages filled with movie posters, each of them holding Blu-Ray discs of the corresponding movie, along with digital codes for all the included films.

Aside from the discs themselves, the set also comes with other items such as a lithograph from the upcoming feature "Wish," a certificate of authenticity for the set, and crystal Mickey Mouse ears engraved with "Disney 100."

The list includes films from Disney subsidiaries such as Pixar, even the ones produced outside its animation studios, as reported by The Wrap, such as "The Night Before Christmas," "Frankenweenie," and "James and the Giant Peach."

The collection will be a limited edition which will be released on November 14th. If you want to secure a copy for yourself, you can pre-order as early as September 18th at Walmart's website, but it won't come cheap. The set will cost you $1,500.

The oldest movie included in the collection is "Snow White and The Seven Dwarves," which was released back in 1937, with the latest being "Elemental," which was released on Disney Plus this 2023. All the others have been released between those two years.

As for the list, there are a couple of Pixar favorites in the mix such as the "Cars" trilogy, "Ratatouille," "The Incredibles" duology, "Coco," "Wall-E," "Up," "Inside Out," "Monsters, Inc.," "Monsters University," and more.

There are also Disney classics that feature popular princesses such as "Beauty and the Beast," "Mulan," "Sleeping Beauty," "Aladdin," "Pocahontas," "The Princess and the Frog," "Tangled," "Brave," "Frozen," "Moana," and "Raya and the Last Dragon."
