FTC v. Microsoft Documents Unveil New Xbox Series X Design for 2024

The new FTC v. Microsoft documents revealed Microsoft's plans to revamp the Xbox Series X for 2024 with new design and features.

Xbox Series X 2024 

Under the codename Brooklin, the new Xbox Series X leans more into a circular shape compared to the existing console. The leaked device design is also said to be shipped without a disc drive. Confidential documents from Microsoft revealed that the 2024 console is equipped with 2TB of storage, a USB-C front port with power delivery, and "all new, more immersive controller."

On the other hand, the controller was reported to be under codename Sebille and is set to be announced later this year. Moreover, it will have an accelerometer for gyro support. The controller will have a direct connection to cloud, Bluetooth 5.2, and a possibly updated version of Xbox Wireless 2 connection.

The documents also revealed that the new Xbox Series X Design will have a Wi-Fi 6E support and a Bluetooth 5.2 radio. On the other hand, the PSU power will be reduced by 15 percent. 

Microsoft's Leaked Roadmap 

Based on the Microsoft's roadmap, the controller will retail at $69.99. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S with 1TB of storage will cost $299 and the Xbox Series X will cost $499. 

Additionally, Xbox fans can expect Microsoft to launch the new Xbox Series X by next September while the Xbox Series X will be introduced in November 2024.
