5 Best Halloween Episodes From Sitcoms to Stream

Halloween episodes have become a go-to special tradition among sitcoms. These episodes usually air sometime in October which allows viewers to be fully immersed in the spooky and eerie elements of the shows. 

During these episodes, fans get to see their favorite characters dressed up in costumes, do some pranks, and experience some of the most peculiar moments. Here are some of the most unforgettable Halloween episodes from sitcoms:

'Friends: The One with the Halloween Party' 

The season eight, episode six of "Friends" also titled as "The One with the Halloween Party", featured Monica's Halloween Party. During the episode Monica was dressed as the Cat Woman, Rachel wore an expensive tight dress,  and Phoebe dressed up as Super Girl.

On the other hand, Chandler was left with no choice but to wear a pink bunny costume while Ross came as a Spud-nik, and Joey dressed up as Chandler. 

'The Office: Halloween' 

The first ever Halloween episode of "The Office" remains to be the best among the series' special episodes. During season two, episode five, Michael dressed as a two-headed version of himself and tried to decide who he would fire by the end-of-the month. Meanwhile, Pam and Jim played pranks on Dwight. 

'How I Met Your Mother: The Slutty Pumpkin' 

In season seven, episode eight, Ted recalled the story to his children about how he met the Slutty Pumpkin girl during a Halloween party in 2001. After years of trying to find out who the girl is, Ted successfully met the Slutty Pumpkin girl and they eventually began dating.

During a Halloween party, they attended the party wearing the same costume but they both eventually realized that the relationship was awkward and they only longed for a closure. 

'Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Last Day, Pt. 2'

Choosing one episode among the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" collection of Halloween episodes is difficult. The show managed to pull off a tradition by establishing a Halloween heist competition among the detectives.

What makes the final heist special is the genius tactics and surprises that came along with it. Amy successfully pranked Jake by faking a hospital setup and even invited Teddy to act as her new partner. Meanwhile, Gina and Rosa made a comeback to join the heist. 

'Modern Family: The Last Halloween' 

Whether you have countlessly rewatched the show or just casually watched some clips of "Modern Family", it is easy to point out that Phil is easily scared of Claire's antics especially during Halloween.

For season 11, episode five, Phil finally got his revenge as he planned out a long-con to scare Claire. He set up a fake character by the window and acted so scared to the point that Claire believed it was haunted.
