Assistant with Bard

Last March, Google released its AI chatbot Bard which functions quite similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT with the exception of Google pulling information straight from the web. For months, the company has been launching additional features in Bard AI to continue its development.

Meanwhile, Google Assistant is a tool created by the company that can handle quick tasks. This includes setting timers, weather updates, making calls, and more.

At the Made by Google event, the company announced a merged tool of the two called Assistant with Bard. The feature aims to provide "personalized help with reasoning and generative capabilities." For instance, you can prompt it using a voice command to scan through your emails and Assistant with Bard will summarize your most important emails. You can also ask for additional details wherein the AI can search the information for you in a second.

"We're so excited about what's possible when we bring our most helpful generative AI capabilities to one of the most assistive experiences in the world," VP at Google and GM for Google Assistant and Bard Sissie Hsiao shared during the event.

The Assistant with Bard started rolling out to select testers. Google is planning to expand its availability within the next few months. Meanwhile, Pixel 8 users might get the chance to try it first before its predecessors.
