Tesla Replacement Parts

Tesla's Cybertruck has been a hot topic in the EV community ever since it was announced, and even through the long delay it went through. Now, buyers finally got their hands on the prismatic vehicle, but they're not free of the additional costs, just like any other car owners.

In case you don't know, the Cybertruck has only one huge windshield wiper as opposed to how many most cars have, which is two. This may serve as good news for Cybertruck owners, especially given how much it could cost them to replace one.

Tesla watcher Nic Cruz Patane revealed on X that a single wiper could cost you $75, and that's just the wiper blade. If you want to purchase the entire arm and blade assembly, you have to cough up $165 for the set, as reported by The Verge.

If you have a car with two windshield wipers like most car owners in the world, then it will cost you an average of $40, and that's already a pair. That makes it around $20 each, which is significantly lower than $165.

One of Cybertruck's selling points is also its windshield, with Musk claiming that it can withstand heavier hits than the average windshield. If you do manage to break it, it will cost you $1,900, which could even be higher since the revealed cost might be an internal price.

For other cars, replacing the windshield could cost you around $300 to $500 on average, depending on the car you drive, the shop you go to, or whether the service comes to you. That means on average, the Cybertruck's windshield replacement is four times more expensive.

Now to move on to shatterproof side windows, which Elon Musk spectacularly failed to demonstrate before. Side windows can cost you around $225 to $260 per window, so maybe you should hold off on testing its strength by hurling a steel ball at it.

The 'Beast Mode' Windows Option

The standard window resilience in Cybertrucks has been mistaken by most to be bulletproof. In truth, it's actually just shatterproof, as bulletproof windows are another option called "beast mode," and of course, it will cost more.

To further elaborate on the difference, shatterproof means that hitting the window with a baseball bat at full force would mean that it would stay intact, but the force of a bullet could still crack or entirely break it.

Bulletproof, which is self-explanatory, can withstand shots from a nine-millimeter gun. As per Interesting Engineering, it's unclear whether it has already been certified for ballistic protection, so maybe you should stay out of trouble even if you do have Tesla's bulletproof windows, just to be sure.
