MrBeast Unveils YouTube Analytics ViewStats for Content Creators, Now Out on Beta

Jimmy Donaldson, more commonly known as MrBeast, launched the new YouTube analytics platform ViewStats in beta to help both fans and creators see detailed stats on top channels.

Founded by fellow content creator Chucky Appleby, the platform uses the YouTube API to provide users with metrics for subscribers, views, and estimated earnings.

Users can also compare a channel's performance with other creators or even find channels with similar content via its "similarity score" system.

ViewStats is currently available for free on beta as a Chrome extension.

The release of ViewStats is seen as a new competitor to similar analytics platforms like Social Blade and a look at how the biggest YouTube content creator strategizes to boost his channel.

The YouTube star has been known to advise both small and emerging content creators on how to shine in the congested entertainment industry on YouTube.

MrBeast has released several guides on his social media accounts and podcasts on maximizing viewer engagement on each of his videos, including a finding that opened-mouth thumbnails get more clicks than with close mouth.

Donaldson currently runs seven channels, all of which have millions of subscribers. His main channel has 219 million subscribers.

The changing policies, regulations, and algorithm has affected on which type of content creators emerge on YouTube.

The video-sharing site remains the most accessible platform for video content for starting creators, but the market has already been saturated by bigger names and trend followers.

YouTube currently boasts 2.70 billion active users this year, with the majority of the US viewers being teenage boys.

Music videos remain the most popular type of content on the platform, followed closely by animations and trend challenges.
