The new feature will enable Android users to switch between their SIMS easily to access Google's RCS system.

The function can be enabled by just switching on the RCS Chats menu in the settings. Users may be asked to verify their second SIM once activated.

Once activated, users can easily switch which SIM to use for their messages from the bottom right corner of the chat box.

The carrier's name of the SIM will be displayed at the bottom of the message once sent. It is uncertain if message recipients will also see the SIM identification.

Google already long hinted at the idea of dual and multi-SIM support since it enhanced the reach of the service.

The RCS messaging app has been receiving big updates over the past year as Google faces it against Apple's iMessage app.

Several beta updates have already shown that the tech giant intends to add more key features to its messaging app, making it more interactable and customized according to user preferences.

When Will the Dual-SIM Feature Release?

Just like with other beta updates, it is uncertain the exact date when the feature will become available to the general public.

It usually takes just a few weeks or a month for a beta feature to be added to the public version if no issue or error needs to be addressed.

In the case of the dual SIM function, it seems to be working perfectly fine.

Users can, of course, sign up for Google Beta Program to receive all the latest exclusive Android features before it comes out to the public.
