Fan-Favorite Apple TV+ Series 'Severance' Hints Return

In an X post, the Apple TV account shared an action shot of Adam Scott running in a hallway while a film crew was seen on the side. The image description of the post confirmed that "'Severance' Season 2 is in production."

Executive producer Ben Stiller also quoted the post and wrote "back to work," further confirming that the production has officially begun.

Last year, the "Severance" production shoot was halted in May after the Writers Guild of America (WGA) announced a strike. The Hollywood strike not only affected "Severance" but also the production of several TV shows and movies, leading to delayed release.

'Severance' Long-Awaited Renewed Season

The series premiered in February 2022 with the first season consisting of nine episodes. The series received 14 nominations during the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.

In April 2022, the series was officially renewed for a second season due to the show's popularity and positive reception from the audience. The upcoming second season welcomed the return of season one cast like Scott, Patricia Arquette, John Arturo, and more.

Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" Gwendoline Christie, Bob Balaban, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, and more will be joining for the second season. The upcoming season will still follow Mark Scout, played by Scott, who works at Lumon Industries, and other employees who agreed to the severance program.
