A Tesla Cybertruck has just been resold for twice its original price at an auction despite Tesla's warning against early reselling of its angular EV truck at the risk of being sued.
Radio personality John Clay Wolfe has claimed that his car-selling company, Give Me The Vin, resold the first-ever Cybertruck to a dealer for $220,000 on Cox Automotive's Manheim auction last Wednesday.
The EV truck was reportedly valued at around $130,000 for its original price.
Wolfe did not provide any information on how his company could get through Tesla's resell policy.
The automaker previously indicated in a section of its terms and conditions that it could sue owners reselling their Cybertrucks within two years of purchase for up to $50,000.
Tesla removed the section following the backlash when it first went public but later put it back weeks ahead of the Cybertruck's release.

Why Are People Trying to Get Resold Tesla Cybertrucks?
Demand for Cybertrucks continues to remain high, with several people going as far as buying the EV trucks at a much higher price, no matter the threats of lawsuits.
Tesla only released a limited number of Cybertrucks when it first launched the electric car last year, many of which were pre-ordered months ahead.
People pining for the $60,000 standard version would need to wait longer as Tesla is still manufacturing the promised Cybertrucks.
The allure of available Cybertrucks in the market, despite being sold for twice its price, is enough to get Tesla enthusiasts to try their chances.

Cybertruck Remains a Common Discussion Online
More than the demand for EV trucks, discussions on Cybertrucks populate online discussions related to Tesla or its CEO Elon Musk.
Just recently, videos of someone driving a Cybertruck while wearing an Apple Vision Pro received wide attention on social media to the point that government agencies took notice.
Other discussions surround dunking on the EV trucks, either for their supposed design flaws or against Musk.
