6 Most Dangerous Zombies from Movies

There are already so many post-apocalyptic movies that feature zombies, and to set the franchises apart, creators have to create unique characteristics or abilities for the undead. With all the modifications in mind, some zombies have become more terrifying than others.

The movie showed the most typical portrayal of zombies, so they might not be the worst kind you would encounter. When they detect sounds, they immediately investigate to see if there's something they can chomp on.

They are also attracted to light or any kind of stimulant. They move slowly or stay in place when there's nothing of interest to them, but you better run like hell once they spot you. Of course, as Columbus listed, don't forget to double-tap.

There were a lot of monsters and creatures that could terrorize you in your dreams, but there's something eerie about the zombies that also haunted the group in the film. The zombies were not the typical empty-headed undead that were driven by hunger.

Instead, you'll find creatures that are out to torture you. They are pretty clever at catching their targets too. With most zombie variants, you don't have to think. You just have to run as fast as you can. In "Cabin in the Woods," you have to outsmart them to survive.

Just like "Zombieland," they have the typical characteristics of a zombie that will chase you until they catch you. What's more terrifying is that they don't just come after you out of instinct. They do it out of rage and aggression, which is why the virus that causes it is called Rage Virus.

You should be careful when they're about to catch you since close proximity can also be a problem. The zombies are highly contagious, so much so that the blood they vomit can also infect you. You won't even have the time to sacrifice an infected limb because the incubation period of the virus is short.

Throughout the "Resident Evil" movie franchise, we saw the zombies go from simple undead people to terrifying mutated monsters. It all began with the T-Virus escaping within The Hive, which slowly but surely spread across the world.

As time went by, we slowly saw different variants of the zombies as the virus mutated and progressed. Of course, it didn't help that the Umbrella Corporation continued to experiment on the virus, or that animals were infected by it too.

Just like "The Cabin in the Woods," these zombies aren't as stupid as you would like. Most of the zombies are easily escapable as long as you can outrun them, but you're out of luck if you find yourself in the presence of an Alpha.

The alpha zombies are more powerful and somewhat sentient, and they can lead to other figuratively brainless zombie variants. Not only are they enhanced, but they can create more zombies like them as well, which will make things so much more difficult.

The beauty about most zombie movies is that instead of outrunning them, you can always build up walls or fences to stop them from getting to you. Well, that's not the case for "World War Z" zombies. They can swarm one area and be able to scale the highest walls.

Since the virus also quickly spreads, the zombies have the numbers to climb up walls faster than you can shoot them down. The only good thing about this movie's zombie variant is that there's a vaccine that makes the virus ignore you.
