Xbox Series X|S Welcomes Final Fantasy XIV

Last month, Final Fantasy XIV opened the beta version for Xbox. This allowed select fans to have a first try for the game. The beta version offers the base game, A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and Stormblood expansions.

In addition, players are only allowed to play until level 70. On the bright side, there were no playtime restrictions so players could enjoy the game before it fully dropped on March 21.

However, some Xbox players reported free trial restrictions like being unable to form or join free companies, use the market board, or access some combat features like Ultimate raids.

Once the game is fully released, the restrictions will soon be lifted. The game will finally allow players to link their Microsoft and Square Enix accounts together.

The Xbox version of the game could also be purchased digitally on the Microsoft Store. This includes the Starter and Complete Editions, along with the Endwalker expansion as a standalone purchase.

Gamers are also reminded that the Xbox Game Pass is required to play Final Fantasy XIV. The price will be on top of the game's monthly subscription. However, those who are subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can claim the game's Starter Edition as a perk from March 21 to April 19.
