Dune-Based Board Games Launches Digital Version, Gets Positive Reviews

Dune: Imperium, a board game based on Frank Herbert's sci-fi novel series "Dune", is now available to play across digital platforms.

The original board game was designed by Paul Dennen and was published by Dire Wolf which captures the complex world of the "Dune" universe.

Dune: Imperium Receives Positive Reviews

Board game Dune: Imperium is a multi-awarded tabletop game since 2020. The game even received the 2022 Tabletop Game of the Year and the 2021 Best Sci-Fi Board Game awards among other accolades.

The game has only been released on Steam for a week yet the digital version of it is rated under Overwhelming Positive with 1,196 reviews as of writing. Most of the players are commending the game for people who like mid-heavy board games.

In addition, the interface and the gameplay of Dune: Imperium was praised due to its smooth quality. According to them the digital version of the game was as good as the physical board game. Moreover, the team was lauded for their excellent customer support.

Dune: Imperium Digital Version Expectations

Fans of Herbert's "Dune" series can experience the world of Arrakis by playing the game. Players can battle online, locally with AI, or fight against the House Hagal.

"As the Great Houses of the Landsraad marshal their forces and their spies, whom will you influence, and whom will you betray? A tyrannical Emperor. The secretive Bene Gesserit. Players will have a series of ten rounds witch each of it defined by a new conflict. Sometimes critical sources are awarded along with some Victory Points. The game revolves around choosing who to trust and who to fight against.

The Dune: Imperium is now available on Steam for $23.
