The infamous Samsung green lines are back and this time it is plaguing Galaxy phones manufactured since 2021.

It remains uncertain what is exactly causing the issue but more and more Galaxy phone owners are being hit by the problem.

To remedy that, here are just some of the ways a Samsung Galaxy owner can fix the issue on their phone on their own.

What is Causing Samsung Phones to Have Green Lines?

To determine how to remove the error, one must first learn what is the main reason causing the issue.

In the case of Samsung phones, it is usually a problem in its manufacturing process or an unresolved glitch in the operating system.

Similar issues have already been spotted in previous Samsung phones in the past. In fact, it is one of the most recurring problems modern Samsung devices have and it has already become an inside joke among hobbyists.

As for the recent issues, several users have noted that the vertical green lines appeared after the recent Samsung update.

The error often stem from the device not being suitable with the update as it is only workable on the latest Samsung product.

Remove Previous Update

For software issues, the best method to resolve the problem would be to remove the recent Samsung update on their phone.

To do so, device owners just need to factory reset their devices to revert back to the original Samsung version when they first bought the device.

Users can later install subsequent updates on their devices via the Samsung website up until the version they used before the green lines started popping up.

Replace Affected Parts on Official Samsung Repair Stores

If the issue still persists, then the next best move is to go to the nearest Samsung repair store to have the affected parts replaced.

In some cases, Samsung will provide a free repair or return service if the issue is from the manufacturer's part.

Affected users can reach out to Samsung's Digital Service center to book an appointment to address concerns on their devices.

It is important to remember to not replace affected parts with components from other brands or taken from unknown sources as it can trigger the device's security systems and lock the user out of their phones.
