Audible to Release Audio Production of All 'Harry Potter' Books

Amazon's Audible and Pottermore Publishing announced its collaboration to produce an audiobook series for the original seven "Harry Potter" books.

The new audiobook series is slated to be released in late 2025 and will exclusively be available on Audible.

'Harry Potter' Audiobook Series Casts Over 100 Actors

The companies shared that they hired more than 100 actors to fulfill the whole cast for the audio production. They are also confident that the actors will bring the iconic series to life in a new way.

Audible and Pottermore Publishing also stated that the new series will provide "immersive audio entertainment through high-quality sound design in Dolby Atmos, stunning scoring, a full range of character voices and real-world sound capture."

Other details about the upcoming 'Harry Potter' audiobooks such as the content and production process will be announced at a later date. The global release dates, voice casting, and accessibility information will also be revealed in the following months.

Audible, Pottermore Publishing Partners for 'Harry Potter' Audiobooks

The 'Harry Potter' audiobook featuring Stephen Fry and Jim Dale will still be available in Audible despite the new series. The original single-voice English-language version was first published in 1999.

The audiobook version of Fry and Dale has now over 1.4 billion global listening hours since it was launched 10 years ago in Audible.

Other 'Harry Potter' audiobooks on the platform include "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" by Jude Law, "Harry Potter: A History of Magic" by Natalie Dormer, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" by Eddie Redmayne, and "Quidditch Through the Ages" as performed by Andrew Lincoln.
