GameStop Introduces Pre-Order Bonus for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Launch

GameStop announced an exclusive bonus of a free slipcase for fans who will pre-order the upcoming Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

The video game is one of Nintendo Switch's much-awaited releases for this year as the game will showcase the modern remake of the GameCube title.

GameStop Offers GameCube-Themed Bonus for Upcoming Mario Game

Last month, Nintendo revealed that two retro games are coming back to the modern console. It was announced during the Mario Day event along with other updates for the franchise.

The remake was first introduced during the September 2023 Direct but its release remained unknown until last month. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door will be released on May 23.

Retailers like Amazon have already sold out the physical copies of the game. Other retailers had to cancel some orders due to inventory issues since the game was so popular.

In an X post by GameStop Canada, the store announced that gamers who will pre-order the title will receive a free slipcover. The design is based on the original GameCube case, adding more excitement for the customers.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Continues Hype Ahead of Release

Fans of the game have been waiting for long to play the new version of it. Previews of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door received positive feedback from gamers, citing that the developers considered the original design in modernizing.

Moreover, fans also noticed how the upcoming version continued to pay homage to the original game without compromising some of its older features. New features like the Star Pieces and Shine Sprites are also welcomed warmly by gamers.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door was first released in 2004. Nintendo promised that the modern version of the classic RPG would bring upgraded graphics and other changes to seamlessly adapt to the modern console.
