Internet Sensation Group 'The Try Guys' Down to Two, Eugene Lee Yang Announces Departure

There was a time when a video of the four Try Guys would come across our news feed and we would stop to watch them, well, try things. After the entire Ned Fulmer drama, the group suddenly became a trio, and with Eugene leaving the gang, the group is now just a duo.

The Try Guys Become The Try Duo

Another founding member, Eugene Lee Yang has announced his departure through an emotional 18-minute video, saying that after a decade of creating content with his friends and associates, his time on YouTube has come to an end.

As for why Yang was moving on, he revealed that it was his busy schedule that was behind the change, especially since it was already keeping him from filming with his co-founders consistently, as reported by Dexterto.

"Working full-time here became untenable, and it's evident that I can't continue keeping one foot in," the YouTube star explained, implying that the arrangement would have people asking if he was still even a Try Guy and that it would only disappoint all parties involved.

"We decided to establish a clean break because clean breaks are ultimately better for the healing process. I sincerely hope to guest star in future videos, and I don't want to risk them being tainted by an embitterment," he continued.

Yang reiterated that the three have been discussing the plan for "a very long time now," and that there is no drama involved. "We have been through the worst version of that together, and all of my decisions have been made in consideration of what we built."

It certainly is a sad thing to see the group that made so many people laugh shrink down to two, but it is a bittersweet departure for Yang as he looks into new projects. He is, in fact, preparing for a directional debut for a feature film.

For now, Yang is tight-lipped about his upcoming film, but that it was an "unbridled expression" of his soul and that he has never been more determined or inspired. Fans are nothing but happy for him as he pursues his passion.

The Beginning of '2nd Try'

As Yang is moving on to new things, the remaining members of The Try Guys are forming a new subscription-based streaming service called "2nd Try." The duo said that the new service was due to their frustrations with the YouTube algorithm.

Fans won't have to worry about missing out on new content from the guys. They will still be uploading videos on YouTube but will offer exclusive and unfiltered content behind the paywall, as reported by USA Today.

There are things to be expected like meeting new members, especially since the remaining founders announced that there will be "lots of new friends." As for Yang, he mentioned that he intends to guest star in future videos.
