LG G Watch, LG G3 now available from AT&T ahead of July 11 retail launch

AT&T has officially announced that LG's new G Watch and LG G3 smartphone powerhouse are ready to launch on its network on July 11.

The carrier is already taking orders for the LG G Watch, while the LG G3 smartphone is still in the pre-order stage. Interested buyers will be able to purchase both the LG G Watch and the LG G3 in AT&T physical retail locations starting on July 11.

"We've been working diligently to be the first U.S. carrier to offer the brand new LG G Watch and among the first to offer the LG G3 smartphone on the nation's most reliable 4G LTE network," AT&T Senior Vice President of Devices Jeff Bradley said in the press release. "AT&T offers one of the largest and best selections of LG devices and these products take our device portfolio to the next level. The LG G3 is a cutting-edge device and our first in a next-gen Quad HD display."

To further sweeten the deal, AT&T is also running a neat promotion for LG fans. For a limited time, interested customers can get 50 percent off select LG premium accessories such as the LG G Watch, the Tone Ultra Bluetooth Stereo Headset, or the LG Quick Circle Folio Case with wireless charging capabilities when pre-ordering or purchasing an LG G3 or LG G Flex smartphone on a two-year contract or with AT&T Next. Prospective buyers can get only one discounted accessory per smartphone activation.

As a reminder, the LG G3 comes with a 5.5-inch QHD display with a whopping resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera with Laser Auto Focus and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), among the highlights. On the software side, the handset runs the latest Android 4.4 KitKat.

The LG G Watch, meanwhile, is one of the first smartwatches to rock Google's new Android Wear operating system for wearable devices. The gadget sports a 1.65-inch display with a 250 x 280 resolution, a Snapdragon 400 processor, 4GB of internal storage capacity, IP67 rating for dust- and water resistance, and a 400 mAh battery for a full day of regular use.

In terms of pricing, the LG G3 comes with a $199 price tag on contract, $24.17 per month with AT&T Next 18, or $29 per month with AT&T Next 12. The LG G Watch costs $229.
