Verizon slashes $10 off More Everything plans, adds new data options

Verizon Wireless has new discounts in store for customers on More Everything plans, and also has a few new plans for data-hungry users.

The majority of More Everything plans will be more affordable starting Thursday, Feb. 5, and Verizon is also adding a number of data tiers such as 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, 14GB, and 16GB. Moreover, some Verizon Edge customers will also be able to save up to $25 with these new plans.

"Value comes in many different packages - big and small, clean and simple.  Starting Feb. 5, both new and existing Verizon Wireless customers on MORE Everything plans will have even more ways to save and experience more value," Verizon announced in a press release on Wednesday, Feb. 4.

Starting today, Feb. 4, More Everything plans between $40 and $60 per month, i.e. with data allowances between 1GB and 3GB, will come with 1GB of extra data at no additional cost. A new plan with 6GB of data is now also available at $70, as are other plans with more data, albeit at higher costs.

Furthermore, as part of a limited-time deal, customers who choose More Everything plans of 6GB or higher can now pay just $15 per month to add smartphones on Verizon Edge, after a $25 access discount per line. Under this new promotion, the monthly service plan for an account with two smartphones on Verizon Edge and 6GB of shared data costs just $100. Edge discounts, meanwhile, are $15 per line for More Everything plans with 4GB or less data.

Data-hungry users, meanwhile, are now able to choose from new 12GB, 14GB, and 16GB options with More Everything plans.

"Just about a year ago, Verizon Wireless expanded what customers experience with a shared data plan when we introduced MORE Everything on the best 4G LTE network," said Nancy Clark, chief marketing officer at Verizon Wireless.  "As the market leader, we are committed to delivering customers the solutions and value that make sense for their lifestyles."

Here are all options and prices as of Thursday, Feb 5:

  • 500MB of data - $20
  • 1GB of data - $30 (down from $40)
  • 2GB of data - $40 (down from $50)
  • 3GB of data - $50 (down from $60)
  • 4GB of data - $60 (down from $70)

Customers who are already on one of these plans don't need to do anything, as Verizon will automatically apply the discounts. Verizon said these discounts will be available for a limited time, but made no mention of when this promotion will expire.
