HP Stream 7 Signature Edition gets $20 discount, neat freebies at the Microsoft Store

Microsoft has a great deal in store for the blotware-free HP Stream 7 tablet, offering the Signature Edition model at a discounted price with some neat freebies.

The HP Stream 7 Signature Edition now costs $79.99 at the Microsoft Store, after dropping $20, or 20 percent, off its regular price tag. If the price cut is not attractive enough, Microsoft is also throwing in some exciting extras.

As a reminder, the HP Stream 7 Signature Edition is a 7-inch tablet running 32-bit Windows 8.1 with Bing. In terms of specifications, the slate sports an IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and packs an Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor under the hood. Other specs include 1GB of RAM, a 32GB solid state drive (SSD), microSD support for additional memory, a 2-megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3-megapixel front shooter.

Furthermore, because it's a Signature Edition device, the HP Stream 7 comes with no bloatware whatsoever.

"Exclusive to Microsoft Store, the Stream 7 Signature Edition tablet is fine-tuned for fast performance from the second you turn it on. It comes protected with premium, free anti-virus software that never expires. And best of all, it comes without any annoying junkware or trialware, giving you peace of mind that your tablet will always be clean, fast, and protected," touts the product page.

To further sweeten the deal, Microsoft is also throwing in some exciting freebies such as one year of Office 365 Personal with 1TB of OneDrive Storage, 60 minutes of Skype calling per month, and a $25 Windows Store gift card.

"The Stream 7 comes with a 1-year subscription to Office 365 Personal1 ($69.99 value) to keep you productive wherever you are. You get the latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and more, plus 1TB of OneDrive online storage to share your photos, videos, documents, and more."

The HP Stream 7 has so far stirred plenty of interest, as it offers good specs and features for its category. With a new price cut that brings it down from $99.99 to $79.99 and a bunch of neat freebies to go along with it, the bloatware-free HP Stream 7 Signature Edition now sounds more attractive than ever.
