iDrink iPhone case with built-in breathalyzer hits Indiegogo (VIDEO)

An interesting new iPhone case just surfaced on crowdsourcing site Indiegogo, and it's a first of its kind: it comes with a built-in breathalyzer.

Called the iDrink, this intriguing iPhone case comes with a built-in blood alcohol content (BAC) breathalyzer that promises to provide accurate readings. If you're not sure how tipsy you are after a couple of drinks, just pull out your iPhone with the iDrink case and check out your BAC level.

Moreover, the company is also launching a video game designed to change difficulty based on the user's BAC level. With this game, users can take a look at what it would be like if they got behind the wheel with their current BAC level.

"iDrink is a unique phone case that capitalize on the rapid growth and popularity of breathalyzers, as well as smart phone gaming. The iDrink case uses a built in breathalyzer, that runs off of its own separate rechargeable battery. The app will read the user's blood alcohol content (BAC), which is then displayed to the user. The user can then use their current location to hail them a cab while they play the online video game in the world that changes difficulty based on the user's BAC level. iDrink will not only discourage drunk driving, but keep the user entertained while they sober up!" reads the project description.

In addition to this extra functionality, the iDrink case will also serve its basic purpose, protecting your iPhone against bumps, scuffs and scratches.

As previously mentioned, the iDrink iPhone case is now seeking funds via crowdsourcing website Indiegogo, aiming to raise $20,000. The campaign has 33 days left to go and the first edition case costs $150, set to start shipping in March 2016. The first edition cases will work only with the iPhone 6.

"IDrink Inc. will require start-up funding. The funds will only be for the initial research and development of the first product launch, the IDrink IPhone case. These funds will go directly towards creating the prototype, social media and print marketing. The initial start-up funds will not go towards staffing or living income; nor will it be used for new product development," further adds the project description.
