Motorola Moto 360 with leather strap now $85 off on Google Store

The widely popular Motorola Moto 360 is now available at a neat discount, as the Google Store now offers the smartwatch for $85 off.

Motorola's sleek Moto 360 smartwatch stirred a lot of interest since the very beginning, as it's a neat wearable with a classical form factor that consumers found very attractive. While most smartwatches at the time came with rectangular designs, the Moto 360 stood out from the crowd by boasting a more traditional form factor with a round display.

Its design played a big role in the popularity of the Moto 360, as many found it very appealing to have a device that looks like a classical watch, yet offers advanced functionality like smart wearable gadgets.

As a reminder, the Motorola Moto 360 features a 1.56-inch circular backlit display with a resolution of 320 x 390 (205 pixels per inch), with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top for extra durability and scratch-resistance. The smartwatch further packs a TI OMAP 3 processor under the hood, paired with 512MB of RAM. The gadget also features 4GB of internal storage capacity, a range of sensors including a heart rate monitor, wireless charging capabilities, and IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. On the software side, the Moto 360 was one of the first smartphones to run Google's Android Wear OS designed specifically for wearable devices.

If you've had your heart set on a Moto 360 smartwatch but were put off by its price tag, now may be the perfect time to purchase the smartwatch. The Moto 360 with a leather strap is now available for $165 from the Google Store, marking a notable $85 price cut from the regular pricing. At the same time, the gadget is also available from Amazon and Best Buy, albeit at a higher $180 price point.

Motorola is reportedly gearing up to unveil a Moto 360 sequel soon enough, and the new price cut for the gadget may be an indication that its successor may arrive soon. If you don't necessarily have to have the latest gadget, however, the original Moto 360 Android Wear-powered smartwatch sounds like a pretty good deal at $85 off. The next-generation smartwatch from Motorola has not been officially confirmed yet.
