Sony's PlayStation Now Comes To PS Vita And PS TV

Japanese tech company Sony has incorporated its game streaming service, PlayStation Now, to its PlayStation Vita console and micro-console, PlayStation TV. The arrival of the streaming service to the devices comes with five new games for players to enjoy. On August 3, the company announced in an official blog post that the service can be availed beginning on August 4.

The lineup of the new games includes God of War III, an award-winning game. Also coming with it are Dynasty Warriors 8, MX vs. ATV Supercross, Bomberman Ultra and The Last Guy. The games will be added to PlayStation Now's sizeable collection of more than 125 titles players can choose from. Subscription costs $19.99 for a month's worth of access to the PS3 library, according to Tech 2. To avail the access to PS3 games for three months, the subscription amounts to $44.99. Said prices are applicable to users in the U.S. New users can avail the seven-day free trial for the streaming service.

"We've also expanded the list of PS Now enabled devices to include many of the latest models of 2015 Sony TVs," Steve Martin, Director of Marketing for PS Now, stated in the post. He also expressed excitement over the array of new games which will now be available to more devices.

Aside from PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV, the service is also available to Samsung Smart TV, Blu-ray players, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, among others.

Sony's latest gaming console, the PS4, has recently been reported to have outsold its competitor, Microsoft's Xbox One. The console has sold over 25 million units as of July 30 and Sony is expecting to sell 16 million units more by the end of this year. The sales make PlayStation 4 the leading gaming device in the market, besting the Xbox and Wii U.

Sony has also been reported to launch its own TV streaming service, the PlayStation Vue. The service has been introduced early last month and is also incorporated in the company's devices.
