Chevy Camaro ZL1 10-Speed Auto Shifts Gears Faster Than Best Dual-Clutch ‘Boxes

These days, cars have been technologically tweaked resulting to the best performance and efficient driving.

According to a web post via Motor Authority, the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 goes on sale later this year. It is said that this car features an available 10-speed automatic! The General Motors Company in partnership with Ford Motor Company developed the car's new transmission. The General Motors Company stated that the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 gives out quicker shifts than the best dual clutch boxes yet with greater smoothness. That is unbelievable!

According to a post via Autoblog, Chevrolet has made a bold claim that its Chevy Camaro ZL1 10-speed auto is faster than any other dual-clutch transmission there is! In addition, Chevrolet stated that the new 10-speed automatic excelled in testing.

The new 10- speed automatic has six clutches that allow transmission to be ready. It means that when the driver calls for an upshift, the transmission has the next gear ready to go. Moreover, since GM initiated the test, the 10-speed automatic is 36 percent faster than Porsche's PDK.This is at the same time with torque converter -- just like an automatic.

In addition from a post of Motor Authority, the ZL1's lead engineer, Mr. Aaron Link stated that the paddle and the gear change with immediacy. He added that the shift changes so quickly as if it is connected to the driver's reflexes. GM also stated that a unique setting is made just for the ZL1. The company also said that the additional applications will feature different calibrations matched to the performance ranges.
