New Xbox One: Leaked Rumors Of Specs, Details, Release Date

Fans are holding on to their seats waiting for Microsoft to announce the next generation of Xbox One Model, which many expect would change the company's console world.

Although no official announcement has been made yet, speculations reveal not only a whole new list of improvements to the gaming console like improved internals but also a slimmer version of the device. A photo of the purported version has been leaked, but the legitimacy of the source could not be verified yet.

What some dubbed as the Xbox One Slim, TechAdvisor, however, noted that the upgrades would not be as significant as the release of Xbox 360 to Xbox One. Other rumors reveal that the modular updates are comparable with the rumored Sony PS4.5, where gamers could upgrade their hardware like PC gamers.

Meanwhile, such rumors seem to be supported by insiders familiar with the plan. These sources told The Verge that Microsoft is trying out "a variety of prototype Xbox devices... tested with upgraded components you'd use to improve the performance of a PC gaming rig."

Phil Spencer, Xbox head, possibly dropped a trail of bread crumps a the Xbox Spring Showcase after telling Polygon, "We can effectively feel a little bit more like we see on PC... Hardware innovation continues while the software innovation is able to take advantage and I don't have to jump a generation and lose everything that I played on before."

NeoGAF member ekin found several FCC filings from Microsoft, showing the company is trying out a new Xbox One wireless chip. Many speculate that these are for the latest Xbox One version.

Vine Report said that rumors suggest the new model will be in line with the much anticipated version of Windows 10 anniversary edition. Specific details are expected to be divulged during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) on June 13 at Los Angeles.
