Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC For Dummies--How To Get Started

The very much awaited Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC is now up for grabs. But if you are a new player who is just about to ride the hype train, here is what you need to do to get in on the action.

Far Harbor is a distinct DLC compared to Automatron since it introduces a lot of new features. For one, Far Harbor has the largest landmass in any Fallout game. Anyone with a clue of how big this means will be even more surprised when the gameplay is experienced first hand.

So, how to go about playing it? Even if you have the Fallout 4 Season Pass, the download will not happen automatically. But now that it is available, get the DLC from Steam, the PSN or Xbox Live. VG 24/7 reported that here is how you do it:

1. Make sure you already have the latest patch

2. Look for Far Harbor on Steam and Xbox Live on the Fallout 4 page. For PSN, look for it in the new release section. You may need to purchase this first then begin the download.

3. Once the installation is complete, open Fallout 4 and check out the "add-ons" in the main menu. If by any chance Far Harbor is not showing, try to restart your system and Internet connection.

Forbes reported that once all of these are done, go to the quest journal for details on how to begin. It must be noted that the "Getting a Clue" quest must first be accomplished. This simply means that you have to make the trek to Diamond City and meet up with Nick Valentine.

After this, a new radio station for Valentine detective agency will appear on your pip-boy. Speak with Ellie, Nick's secretary and she will let you in on a new case. You will then be sent to the Nakano residence. From here, you are well on your way to the famed Far Harbor.
