'Dark Souls 3' First DLC To Arrive In Autumn; Content To Introduce Brand New Features?

"Dark Souls 3" is close to nearing a full conclusion, but the hype does not even fluctuate. In fact, the title's first DLC is already on its way and is believed to arrive around autumn this year. Fans of the franchiseare expected to surely love the new content, as the upcoming DLC will bring new features to the highly-successful game.

It holds true that "Dark Souls 3" is bound to receive two more DLCs. After which, fans can expect no further content from the game's developers. As already explained in the past, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have decided to give the title a worthy conclusion. Such an announcement, in one way or another, means that it is time to move forward with a new IP.

But before the curtain finally closes down on "Dark Souls 3" as a whole, the studio has been keen to introduce some new kind of excitement. According to Alphr, the first downloadable content of the game is expected to be released sometime in autumn 2016. As for the second one, it is scheduled on early 2017.

The first "Dark Souls 3" DLC is said to feature "a new area, enemies, gear and story." Even the location is expected to offer a different kind of feel from the series as a whole. Thus, despite the game being close to the conclusion of its run, it is still interesting to see just how passionate the devs are in concluding it.

The Christian Times, on the other hand, reports that the first "Dark Souls 3" DLC will feature a different side of the game. Content-wise, it is said that it would provide something off from the previous titles; hence, the new features aforementioned. Nonetheless, further details about the upcoming expansion is still kept under wraps.

"Dark Souls 3" director Hidetaka Miyazaki iterated just how the game became a huge "turning point" for them, as previously reported here at iTech Post, with the game's success giving them enough resources and lessons to utilize, especially when developing the new title.
