'Rise Of The Tomb Raider' PS4 Up For Pre-Order, Includes 'Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition' For Free; Game Headlines Gamescom 2016

Over a little few months ago, lots of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" fans were worried that the game will not arrive in PS4. But hey, that is a thing in the past, as the game is already confirmed to arrive in October this year. In fact, it is now made available for pre-order, and doing so is synonymous to acquiring a free copy of the "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition."

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" came last year to Xbox One as a timed exclusive deal. It arrived to PC a couple of months after, with PS4 being the only console left. Fast forward to today, Square Enix's title is slated for an October release on Sony's system.

But now, as reported by GameSpot, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is ready for pre-order. And for fans who do it, they will get a free copy of "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition." The bonus copy was reportedly revealed on the game's listing on PlayStation Store.

Basically, the bonus item for pre-ordering "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 version is the remaster of the franchise's 2013 reboot. The latter was deemed as one of the greatest titles at that time. Nonetheless, the copy will only be for digital pre-orders. Hence fans have to purchase the title straight from the PS Store.

Meanwhile, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is set to headline Square Enix's lineup in the upcoming Gamescom 2016 event, according to PlayStation Universe. The game along with "Final Fantasy XV" will be some of the titles expected to be showcased at the Cologne-based event on August 18.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will arrive on PS4 along with some add-ons and a couple of game changes. On every platform, it has a new single player and a narrative that is focused on "Blood Ties," "Lara's Nightmare" (a zombie-ish horde mode) and the co-op mode titled "Endurance."
