'Pokemon Go' Fans Angry As Game Update Removes Key Features

Users complain that the popular "Pokemon Go" smartphone game still has glitches after the latest update, but lost some key features.

According to Mirror, users are frustrated and vent their anger after last week Nintendo released the game update to the latest version, on July 31. This issue comes after fans of "Pokemon Go" were disappointed after hearing the news last week.

The Japanese company has announced that it will delay the launch of the eagerly awaited "Pokemon Go Plus" to September. The device is basically a wristband that vibrates when the game characters are nearby.

In the three weeks since its launch, "Pokemon Go" has already been plagued with various issues ranging from bugs to crashed servers. Niantic, the game developer company, has promised that updates and fixes would be coming soon. However, gamers did not expect that the announced updates would also be taking features out of the "Pokemon Go" game.

The July 31 game update has the tracking system, a key feature of the game. The tracking system has been designed to show close Pokemon monsters nearby user's location. The number of footprints changes as the gamer moves around to show if they are getting closer to their target.

These icons have actually been removed by the 0.31.0 update, leaving users without a way to track down their prey. It is not clear whether the order in which Pokemon are displayed is either in real-time or accurate.

Another key feature that has been present in the previous version of "Pokemon Go" is the battery saver. This is pretty inconvenient, as the game is a power draining app.

Another British publication, The Independent, reports that even the third party websites are suffering because of the update. One such website is PokeVision, which offers a map app designed to help hunting Pokemon monsters.

The effects of the update have already been felt by "Pokemon Go" fans. In fact, many players have expressed their anger on various forums and social media networks.
