Due out June 5.

If you're a fan of OnePlus's legit iPad competitor tablet, the OnePlus Pad, you're going to love this news.

The company just revealed a brand-new successor to its hit tablet (OnePlus Pad 2) with a new model, the OnePlus Pad 3. The new Pad 3 offers a more powerful processor, enhanced software features, and a lighter design. It's set to arrive on June 5 in the US and Canada.

And if you pre-order, you'll get to choose two of the following three add-ons, the OnePlus Pad 3 Smart Keyboard, the OnePlus Stylo 2, or the OnePlus Pad 3 Folio Case. I've used both the Smart Keyboard and the Stylo, and they're both fantastic peripherals that only extend the functionality of the Pad 2.

The Pad 3 will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform chip, which OnePlus calls "the most powerful mobile system-on-chip on the market" in a statement sent to TechTimes.

The software takes the already stellar OS to a new level, offering a quick way to share and mirror the screens of your OnePlus mobile phone. It also has new apps to make Mac remote control and easy drag-and-drop file sharing a breeze.

Open Canvas, the software that enables OnePlus Pad multitasking, has been upgraded, said the company, though the details of the exact upgrade are slim. The current version of the software allows you to use three apps at once, two in split screen and a third in a side slideover area. It offers gesture controls, flexible layouts, and app grouping to make using it pretty darn intuitive.

June 5 can't get here soon enough for this next-generation OnePlus Pad 3.
