Logitech has unveiled its first take on a foldable mouse with the new device called "Mobi Fold," and it is designed for professionals or students who accomplish their tasks in public spaces, offices, or schools.
While traditional mice can be brought anywhere, they are bulky. More often than not, they fit awkwardly in laptop bags or use up too much space on one's bag, hence people opting for slim versions instead.
Logitech Unveils the Mobi Fold Mouse
Logitech's own research shows that while 72% of professionals own a mouse, only 26% actually use one when working in public. The primary barriers are not a lack of desire for comfort or precision, but the bulk and friction of traditional tools that simply do not fit a modern on-the-go lifestyle.
The Mobi Fold is engineered to let users work comfortably from anywhere, whether in an airport lounge, a bustling café, or a hotel lobby, addressing what Logitech describes as a major pain point for traveling professionals.
The mouse is priced at $79.99 and is available now through Logitech's website.
When folded, the Mobi Fold becomes a compact 2.2-inch x 2.5-inch rectangle that is less than an inch thick, weighing barely more than two ounces.
Unfolding it puts the mouse into an arched shape ready for immediate use, and it features physical left and right buttons with dampened clicks, and a center touch strip that handles scrolling, with the ability to press down for a middle-click function.
It is available to connect to devices via Bluetooth, with support for up to three devices and compatibility across Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux. A Mobi Fold for Business variant is also available, which includes a Logi Bolt USB receiver for users who prefer a dongle connection.

Foldable Mouse That Stows Away Neatly
The folding mechanism is the defining feature of the Mobi Fold and unfolding the mouse powers it on. Folding it back shuts it off, which helps preserve battery life without needing a separate power switch.
The hinge sits at the center of the mouse, forming the highest point of the arch when open, so only the front and back edges make contact with the surface.
Logitech says a full charge provides up to 30 days of battery life, and a one-minute quick charge via USB-C can add 22 hours of additional runtime. The mouse is available in three colors: lilac, off-white, and graphite.
However, the graphite finish reserved for the Business model.
Do You Need a Foldable Mouse?
For users who regularly work outside the office, the Mobi Fold makes a strong case for itself. While laptop trackpads are functional, they are not ideal for anything beyond basic navigation. Logitech's own ergonomic research found that using the Mobi Fold results in 22% less forearm muscle strain compared to a laptop's integrated trackpad.
That makes it a meaningful upgrade for students doing heavy coursework in libraries or cafés, as well as professionals running through documents and spreadsheets in transit.
Weighing just 79 grams and folding down to 21 mm x 66 mm x 57 mm, the Mobi Fold is small enough to slip into a bag pocket or even a shirt pocket. Slim travel mice like the Logitech Pebble exist for similar use cases, but their flat profile still requires the same amount of horizontal bag space as a standard mouse.
For anyone who has been living with a trackpad out of convenience rather than preference, the Mobi Fold offers a more comfortable alternative without asking for much in return.
