Samsung Gear S3 and Tab S3 To Launch Together On September 1

IFA 2016 will be held this September 1st in Berlin, Germany. The IFA is a conference held for key retailers, buyers, experts and tech manufacturers that cater mainly to the European market. And as one of the most widely known tech corporations, Samsung is definitely making an appearance. In fact, the Korean tech giant has just released its invites, which quite obviously indicates the launch of the new Samsung Gear S3.

The Samsung Gear S3

As GSM Arena points out, the invitation does not actually mention the upcoming wearable. However, it was the clocks hands that gave the reveal away, as they were very prominent in the invitation's design. In addition, the launch of the Gear S3 during the IFA conference has long been speculated and Samsung's invite just confirms it.

The Gear S3 is expected to come in the same circular shape as the Gear S2, with an AMOLED display. It will also sport the same rotary bezel on its side. The wearable from Samsung is also speculated to contain an altimeter, a barometer and a GPS-based speedometer.

All in all, these features will improve the tracking features of the Gear S2. Theoretically, these will help provide wearers with more reliable information.

The Samsung Gear S3 will also run on the Tizen operating system. There will be two variants of the upcoming device, one coming in a more classic design.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3

As International Business Times adds, however, Samsung is likely to take the opportunity to also launch the Galaxy Tab S3b at IFA 2016.

While there has been no confirmation regarding the release, or even the existence, of the Galaxy Tab S3, it is expected to take plenty of inspiration from the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Further, it is expected to come powered by the Exynos 8890 chip.
