Samsung To Close Milk Music Sevice In September

The tech giant Samsung has announced that they will be shutting down their radio streaming service, Milk Music. Based on the reports, Samsung will be pulling out the Milk Music plug on September 22. The company suggests to existing users to switch to Slacker instead which has been fueling Milk ever since.

According to The Verge, the removal of the Milk Music service is caused by the company being unable to gain transaction with users causing it to shutter the service. It has been rumored for months now. Samsung said in a statement that the company will find a partner that will seamlessly focus on bringing and integrating the best music on their family of Galaxy Devices.

According to The Variety, the company believes that working with their partners accelerates the innovation while enhancing the sales of their devices and providing new experiences for their valued customers. Milk Music has been part of Samsung services since 2014. It was launched by the company as a Pandora-like service that enables users to personalize their playlist for free. The company initially planned for Milk Music to be part of its bigger future ahead.

Based on the reports, Samsung even released a video aggregation app called the Milk Video and has planned to extend its services into additional categories like Sports and Entertainment. However, it seems those plans were done for as the company has decided to shut the service off this coming September. Rhe company's service group that is based on the US went through a series of layoffs subsequently.

Rumors say that Samsung will try to make an attempt to make their own media services through striking alliances with several existing services while focusing on improving their internal services which are the handsets.
