Acer Introduces 'Pawbo+' Pet Camera

Ever wonder what your furry friend is up to when you're not at home? Want to bond with your canine pals anytime, anywhere? Acer gives you the right answer for that with their newest venture, Pawbo+.

What Is Pawbo+?

Pawbo is a crowdfunded startup  project that made its way to the minor market last year. It was later acquired by the Taiwanese tech giant, Acer and added its own touch to the said device. The device takes on a new name Pawbo+, as introduced at the IFA 2016.

It is a smart home device that basically keeps you connected with your pets. This innovative device connects your phone and enables you to see your pets at home. You can even chat to them through a speaker and listen to their adorable meows and woofs through a microphone.

What Makes Pawbo+ Special?

As reported, Pawbo+ was acquired by Acer and added major improvements to the device. Pawbo+ can now stream 720p video and a 130-degree wide-angle lens. It can also connect eight people simultaneously using a smartphone app.

Pawbo+ also takes petting in a whole new level with its two-way talk, an automatic treat dispenser, and a laser pointer game which you can control manually and automatically. You can also take a snap of your pets with Pawbo+ and save it to your digital storage.

This innovative device also comes with special add-ons including Pawbo Flash, an infrared light that lets you check on your pets at night and Pawbo Munch, a larger version of the treat dispenser.

Acer will also release Pawbo Catch, which features a rotating cat teaser and Pawbo Punch, which is basically an animal game of whack-a-mole.

Pawbo+ is now up for preorder in the US and selected countries for $169. It is expected to ship by November.
