Now that the IFA 2016 currently hypes up the gadget world, some people are waiting and looking for the most top-notch devices for this year. While there are a bunch of new additions to different brands this season, there has not been a lot that offered top-of-the-line specs. This is why many people are looking for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and MacBook Pro 2016 to come before the year ends.

The Surface is often compared with Apple's Macs or iPads, and typically, the competition is pretty stiff. Most of the time, both brands offer top tier specs, which makes the competition all the more interesting. The upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and the MacBook Pro 2016 are the best examples of the companies' intense competition. These two devices are both rumored to come with superior quality.

Basically, it's the MacBook Pro's Intel Skylake platform versus the Surface Pro's Intel Kaby Lake. While the display details of the MacBook Pro is still unknown, rumors about the Surface Pro 5's 4K quality and 3840 x 2160 pixel display have already surfaced online. The Surface Pro 5 is also expected to use a high-caliber graphics processor that is either Polaris-based from AMD or Pascal-based from NVIDIA.

What is rumored at this point is that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will lose the 4A battery-powered stylus from the Surface tablet series. Instead, the Surface Pro 5 will come with the branded Surface Pen. The Apple MacBook Pro 2016, on the other hand, takes pride on the alleged OLED bar to be added to the laptop. According to IBTimes, the MacBook Pro 2016 is also expected to get a major boost through its USB 3.1 ports that will allegedly support a speed of 10 Gbps.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might come in October 2016. The MacBook Pro is also expected to launch before 2017 arrives. It's worth noting though that both Microsoft and Apple have not commented about these devices yet. Apple is holding an event on the 7th of September and it is possible that the MacBook Pro 2016 will be mentioned alongside the iPhone 7.
