The second model from LG's Optimus L-Series, L5, is finally here.

The midrange L5 was announced back in February at the Mobile World Congress. Inspired by LG's PRADA Phone 3.0, the new LG phone measures at 118.3 x 66.5 x 9.5mm and weighs 125 grams and is powered with a Qualcomm MSM7225A chipset and packs in a single-core 800MHz Cortex A5 processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with 512MB of RAM.

Optimus L5 has a 4-inch HVGA touchscreen, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash. While its internal storage is limited to 4GB if which only 2.5GB are user accessible, the phone provides a microSD card support of up to 32GB.

According to the LG press release, the Optimus L5 boasts LG's new User Experience (UX) with QuickMemoTM which allows users the ability to instantly jot memos or notes from any screen without having to open a separate application.

"The LG Optimus L5 is a very balanced smartphone that offers a great combination of design, display, performance, battery life and price that many will find very attractive," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "This device, along with other products in our L-Series portfolio, will especially appeal to fashion forward users everywhere."

LG will launch its new Optimus phone in Germany, France and the UK, followed by the Middle East and the rest of Asia. Reportedly, later this month Optimus will reach North, Central and South America.
