Red Dead Redemption 2 Set In Modern Day? Release Could Be Anytime Next Year

Red Dead Redemption 2 is among the games that fans are hoping to see in the future. Unfortunately though, Rockstar has not been so generous in releasing any updates or whatsoever. This has resulted, nonetheless, to speculations after speculations. And now, there are talks about the game being set in a modern era, away from the old, old West.

As previously reported here at iTech Post, the developments of Red Dead Redemption 2 remains vague, as the studio never opted to unleash any updates. However, many suggest that the upcoming title could be made available for PS4 Neo.

While there's every possibility for Red Dead Redemption 2 arriving to the said console, it still remains unofficial. Nevertheless, Take-Two, Rockstar's parent company, already iterated their plans to unveil new projects in the forthcoming PlayStation Meeting. This is where the PS4 Neo rumors rooted from.

In one way or another, there's actually a possibility of Red Dead Redemption 2 being unleashed in a different setting. In fact, as reported by GamesRadar, a leak of the title's in-game map suggests what seems to be a new location of sorts. And if this is to be followed, RDR2 might not just be set in the Old West anymore.

The leaked Red Dead Redemption 2 map displays the likes of caravan camps and areas free from railroads. In one way or another, this is referring to a bit modernised yet still barren American frontier. Sure enough, this is an interesting take from the developers, if such setting indeed happens.

The sad thing, though, is that neither of the aforementioned possibilities are confirmed to arrive in Red Dead Redemption 2. After all, the studio has yet to release any official statement. Or perhaps, it's a shot to hype things up for the soon to be released game. Anyway, it sure looks exciting than ever.
