Idolian Mobile has announced its new IdolPad PLUS, a new Android tablet model that comes with the lowest price tag in its category. The new Idolian Tablet PC features the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and sports a 7-inch capacitive touch screen. Priced at $98, the IdolPad PLUS is the cheapest 7-inch Android tablet PC currently available on the market.
The IdolPad PLUS builds on the success of Idolian's widely popular IdolPad, which has drawn heavy interest. The previous tablet's popularity continues to soar and has generated a large number of sales since its release, receiving positive customer satisfaction, which sets the IdolPad PLUS off to a promising start.
IdolPad PLUS boasts a capacitive touch screen with a lower response time and more sensitivity compared to a resistive touch screen. In addition, the capacitive touch screen provides a better viewing experience, transmitting 90 percent of the light it emits. Idolian's new Android tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor, and has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. IdolPad PLUS comes with fully functional Android Google Play and Adobe Flash Player, and its ultra-thin and light design can be completed with a 7-inch case with keyboard for an additional $24.99.

The IdolPad PLUS started shipping June 18 and is available on Idolian's Web site, as well as on Amazon, Sears, and buy.com. "We believe IdolPad PLUS brings more options to the tablet PC market," Idolian Mobile founder Jay Kim said in a press release. "Although anyone can appreciate the price point and features, teachers and schools will see IdolPad PLUS as a cost-effective way to bring tablet access into the classroom. Parents will also love giving their children a platform for games and movies without the iPad price tag."
In addition to the new IdolPad PLUS Android tablet, Idolian will also introduce TouchTab IPS, IdolPad 10 and TurboTab 10 within the next few weeks. According to the press release, Idolian also plans to spice up its current product offerings with the addition of an action camera/camcorder. Idolian currently offers 11 different tablet PC models on its Web site, along with tablet PC accessories and an extended protection plan.
