‘Orange Is The New Black’ Season 5 Updates: Daya In Critical Situation; Bennet Returns To Rescue Her

Netflix is up with big surprises to fans of “Orange Is The New Black.” With the possibilities of Daya’s extended sentence in Litchfield and Bennet’s rumored comeback in the show to save her, who would want to miss the fifth season?

Daya Faces Serious Consequences Of Her Actions
In the season 4 finale of “Orange Is The New Black,” Daya (Dascha Polanco) was seen pointing a gun at Corrections Officer Humphrey (Michael Torpey). Daya’s aggressive behavior character was never revealed not until she looked ready to kill the officer.

This tough action of Daya is likely to cause her major drawbacks. International Business Times mentioned that she might be sent to SHU. It is not shocking if her case will not be lifted, thus extending her stay in prison is a reasonable option.

Will Bennet Return in Season 5 To Save Daya?
In a related article of iTech Post, an Instagram post of Matt McGorry (Corrections OFficer Bennett) stirred speculations that he will return to OITNB’s fifth installment. He shared a photo of himself and co-star Laverne Cox (Sophia Burset) in Los Angeles. Cox’s comeback in the famous series caused assumptions that Matt and Laverne will be seen onscreen in the new season.

In relation to Daya’s pointing of gun to Humphrey, followers of the show hypothesized that while she will be subjected to solitary confinement, Bennet’s return in the series is a perfect opportunity to save her.

We cannot expect a rekindled romance between the two though. When Bustle interviewed McGorry he did not drop any hint that his character and Daya’s will be reunited romantically. When asked about the end of their relationship in season 3, he gave a dissatisfied three – word response.

"Not cool, dude."

Next year’s premiere of OITNB is surely loaded with entertaining treats to the viewers.
