Showrunner Confirms DeLuca’s Survival Post Alex’s Beating

A big miscommunication turned to a life – threatening situation throws Alex and DeLuca in tougher spots; the former fighting for his existence and the latter risking his life to jail.

Alex almost killed DeLuca with his powerful beating out of a false conclusion that Jo and DeLuca are cheating on him.

While it is quick to hypothesize that DeLuca might be killed, “Grey’s Anatomy” Executive Producer Shonda Rimes related to Entertainment Weekly that viewers will be seeing more of DeLuca despite the tragic incident he got involved with.

“We’re going to get to know DeLuca a lot better, who we don’t know at all, and who we’ve just started to scratch the surface of. Now, because this thing has happened to him, he has found himself in a spotlight that he was not interested in ever being in.”

It looks like the upcoming season of the medical drama will break hearts with stained relationships and vengeance caused by impulsiveness of Meredith, Nathan, Jo and Alex.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 is slated to premiere on September 22.
