'Berserk' Season 2 Confirmed; Series To Be Released In 2017?

"Berserk" Season 2 has been confirmed and is set to be released in April 2017. Sources say that the anime's last episode "Those Who Cling, Those Who Struggle" even have hinted about its second season's story.

The ending of season 1 is not what fans expected it to be but did not disappoint them either. The season finale gave enough clues on what could have happened in the end and what to look forward to in the next season.

The series has been positively reviewed for its good ending with a twist for fans to anticipate in the next season. Although fans wished they saw more of Guts, God Hand and the Egg Apostle in season 1, sources claim that the anime will tackle more about them in season 2.

Some of the highlights in season 1 include the impressive way Nina was saved by Luca, and Farnese finally able to come out and fight the blood demons to help Guts. Many are asking if she has now changed or is it for another reason.

This 2016 anime series is based from Kentaro Miura's "Berserk" manga and Golden Age Arc film trilogy. It is actually the 2nd TV adaptation of the manga. The first one was in 1997 using the same anime title which covers the story of the Conviction arc and the Black Swordsman arc.

"Berserk" anime is a story about a mercenary named Guts who was taken in by the "Band of the Hawk" or Taka no Dan in Japanese. He fought with them until their leader, Griffith, sacrificed his people just to become a "God Hand" and rule the kingdom. Only Guts and Casca were able to escape. Now Guts hunts down the apostles of God Hand so he can find Griffith again for vengeance.
