MMA Fighter Ottavia Busia And Chef Anthony Bourdain Divorce; Remains Friendly Amidst The Split

Chef Anthony Bourdain lives a very enviable life. Travelling the world and eating all the best food the country has to offer. However, his life seemed to have taken a bad turn as rumors about his divorce with his wife Ottavia Busia has surfaced.

In an email from Ottavia Busia to Page Six she wrote, "Because of professional decisions we both have made, my husband and I have been for years in an unconventional relationship. Nothing has changed. We love each other. We respect the decisions the other has made. And we'll always consider ourselves a family."

A source has also informed them that the two have been separated for a while and that there are no other parties involved.

Could it be because of Bourdain's unforgiving schedule that they are splitting up?

He is known to travel for 250 days a year since he does travel the world a lot for his show "Parts Unknown". Ottavia said that the chef is only home during holidays because of his hectic schedule.

The split is not a messy one though. Just last week, Ottavia Busia posted a photo of Anthony Bourdain congratulating him and his team on winning a Creative Arts Emmy. The two seemed to remain close as Ottavia was also seen posting a photo of their family having a Nerf gun battle amidst the incoming divorce according to a source.

This is his second marriage after his divorce with his high school sweetheart Nancy Putkoski in 2005. They have been together for two decades and it was rumored that the divorce was caused by his erratic work schedule.

Ottavia Busia and Antony Bourdain shares a 9-year-old daughter, Ariane and a matching tattoo of a chef's knife which they got before they got married. Anthony Bourdain has not released any statement regarding his divorce with Ottavia Busia.
