Sony Xperia XZ Pre-Order Sold Out In Taiwan

Sony's newest smartphone, the Xperia XZ, has been doing well. It has been on pre-order in Taiwan and has sold out quickly. Pre-order for the Sony Xperia XZ has also begun in Europe.

The new flagship smartphone in Sony's esteemed Xperia line has been on pre-order in Taiwan yesterday, according to Mobile Scout. Within 45 minutes of pre-order, the Sony Xperia XZ was sold out. The pre-order comes with a variety of accessories. Included with the pre-order is a USB Type-C charging dock, a flip leather case, and a protective back cover.

With accessories coming along with the pre-order, people were more than willing to snap up the Sony Xperia XZ. Sony is also reportedly planning to include special offers on the first week of the Xperia XZ's release. This is likely to appease those who have not made it in time for the pre-order.

As GSM Arena reports the extras that would come along with the Xperia XZ on its first week would be a pair of Bluetooth headphones as well as an additional year in warranty. It is not certain yet if the pre-order in Europe includes the same freebies as what has been offered in Taiwan. What is certain is that the freebies have helped in selling out the new smartphone in Taiwan.

The Sony Xperia XZ has the Snapdragon 820 as its processor. It comes with either a 32 GB or a 64 GB internal storage and 3 GB RAM. On the rear is a 23 MP camera while the front has a 13 MP camera. The smartphone is large enough with a 5.2-inch display. Sony has been known to waterproof its smartphones and the Xperia XZ is no exception as it has an IP68 immersion protection.

The global variant of the Sony Xperia XZ has a fingerprint scanner but the U.S. version will not have the scanner included. This should be noted by those who might want to get the smartphone in the U.S.
